Fishing around for my grandmother’s apple pie recipe was pretty tricky. The thing is that she told my mom and aunts that she was only going to give it to one of them before she passed away. It was the running family joke. But none of my aunts would ever say which of them actually got it.
I knew that my mom didn’t get it because she hates to cook and bake food so it would kind of be a waste going to her because she’d never actually put it to use. But a few weeks ago I wanted to make the recipe myself so I e-mailed my Aunt Ann and asked her if she had it. She replied back with her hughs internet Oklahoma that she wish she did.
